Wheatgrass!!!

These days i have become a bit health conscious....my sister told me that wheat-grass helps to maintain good health as it has got high concentrations of chlorophyll, vitamins, active enzymes etc..etc......

So I started growing the grass at home. It is a very simple procedure and it grows beautifully also. All you need is some wheat grains, soil, a tray and water.

here is the procedure

-Soak one cup of wheat grains in water for 9-12 hrs. Do not soak them more than 24 hrs

-take a tray and fill it with 1 to 2 inches soil (you can use any soil)

-spread the seeds evenly on the soil. The seeds should be touching each other but no overlaping.

-sprinkle little amount of soil over the seeds to cover them.

-water the tray careful to not distrub the seeds

-cover the tray with a newspaper and keep it in a dark place for 3 days

-sprinkle little amount of water daily once or twice depending on the weather. seeds should be wet always, but make sure you do not give too much of water as it might cause mould (anyway little mould won't ruin your harvest, just cut the grass above the mould and juice it)

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Day 4

and looks like this on day 9. It's grown almost 7 inches and it is right time to cut the grass.

some people say that it takes two weeks to grow fully. But for me it took only 10 days. I just stared drinking the juice and i liked the taste. It's good. You can start with 1 to 2 ounce of juice everyday and you should take it first thing in the morning. Make sure that you do not take more than 2 ounce as it might cause nausea. Also make sure that after jucing the grass, you drink it immediately and wait for half-an-hour before you take your regulary breakfast.

If this stuff really works, then this will be the most simplest way to keep yourself healthy.

Let's see.......
